Infusing involves scenting or flavouring a liquid by extracting the flavour typically from herbs, spices, tea or coffee through adding to boiling water to absorb the flavour. This can also be done by adding ingredients and bringing the mixture to the boil and then allowing it to cool.
Intensify
To intensify is to make something more acute, strengthened or sharper. With reference to food it usually means using an ingredient to bring out stronger flavours.
